We ordered Sky TV which was fitted on Thursday. We moved in today and I thought I would just confirm my billing, we got the big deal with sky when we inititially ordered it where we got the followingfor £40.00.
1) Sky TV with free HD box and installation.
2) 3 packages (music, documentary and variety)
3) Evening and weekend calls
4) Unlimited boradband
The woman on the phone confirmed it would total to £40.00 with like 3 months of unlimited broadband which was £7.50 so for the first three months we would have a bill of £32.50. However, my bill online is trying to state that I owe £62.25 and an e-mail I got which intitially raised the concern said the following:
| Date | Description | Amount (£) |
| 10/03/2011 - 09/04/2011 | 1571 - Voicemail | £0.00 |
| 04/03/2011 - 09/03/2011 | 1571 - Voicemail | £0.00 |
| 10/03/2011 - 09/04/2011 | 3 Pack with Movies 1 with Viewing Subscription Discounted (standard price=£29.50) | £10.00 |

| 10/03/2011 - 09/04/2011 | Sky+ Subscription | £0.00 |
| 10/03/2011 - 09/04/2011 | Sky Broadband Unlimited with #5 off Broadband each month if taken with Talk (standard price=£12.50) | £7.50 |
| 08/03/2011 - 09/03/2011 | Sky Broadband Unlimited with #5 off Broadband each month if taken with Talk (standard price=£12.50) | £0.53 |
| 04/03/2011 - 09/03/2011 | Sky Talk Freetime | £0.00 |
| 10/03/2011 - 09/04/2011 | Sky Talk Freetime | £0.00 |
| 04/03/2011 - 09/03/2011 | Sky Talk Line Rental with Line Rental Discounted (standard price=£11.25) | £0.80 |
| 10/03/2011 - 09/04/2011 | Sky Talk Line Rental with Line Rental Discounted (standard price=£11.25) | £3.75 |
Your future monthly payments
Now I do not understand as we worked it out with all the line rental that we would be paying £40 a month and even three different people we spoke to before ordering agreed. So why is my bill a higher amount?
Any help here would be great. I tried ringing Sky as they claim to be open 24/7 but my only options on the customer service number were automated fields.
Thanks
Kez

Your bill covers 5 weeks not 4 which is why it is higher than expected.

Hi Paul!
Thank you for your response. I spoke to them about it on the phone this morning and they said my bill will be £44 something so to ignore the other e-mails and what my account is saying. I think my first bill will be higher but I am not sure why they are making the first one higher than it should be.

When did you join Sky Talk ?

Dear Sir/Madam,
My broadband each month is #5.00 (Everyday lite)which I hardly use regularly.
The Sky Subscription each calendar month is $24.50.
All I asked for was to add Talk Talk which I was told was #11.25 each month excluding calls made.
Why then do I have the subscription charge at #17.87 and the Sky Talk at #21.00.
All you have to do was to deduct the #5.00 broadband and add the 11.25 to my subscription bill making it #35.75
why do I have this bill of #38.89 this was not the agreement according to my telephone conversation with one of your officer. As a person unemployed it is difficult for people to get by now, so adding two or three pound to a bill is alot of money this day.
I would like my everyday lite broadband to remain not unlimited broadband.
Now, your Telephone line is more expensive than BT which I moved from.
Please alter this very mistake immediately.
Thank you very much.

unresolved issue about my bill since last year is quite frustrating and disappointing. Contacting sky for every single month i recieved my wrong bill is ridiculous. I feel sad when I find out that the problem remains the same after sky costumer service encouraged me to transfer to sky line rental in view of helping me trace why premium number continue appearing in my monthly bill, in fact were not using these number hence we know how expensive will it cost to use premiun numbers. The same problem Still clearly enresolved eventhough we already moved to sky line rental, and every month were encountering the same problem that they couldnt resolved. Every single month our bill is too high to what were expecting. Until now we still have the same isssue. I dont know how are they going to resolve this matter.

Hi yknip,
Problems with unidentified calls appearing on your bill which are chargeable can be difficult to track down and resolve. How often are these calls showing as being made on your bill? Is there a pattern to the numbers being called and the time of day the calls are being made, even how frequently the calls are showing as being made from your line?
If there is a pattern and this is happening frequently we recommend you disconnect all devices from your line for a period so that nothing is plugged in and leave the line without any devices connected to any sockets.
If you then connect your devices back up again (after allowing for a period of time to pass where calls from your line would appear to be happening as idenfied in any pattern) and you notice when checking your bill that these calls are still happening then please report this again to our Customer Help team as this would indicate either a crossed line or fault with the line.
If the calls stop when everything has been disconnected from the line, then it's likely to be something connected to your line making these calls and it would require a process of elimination to be carried out connecting one device back to your line at a time and monitoring this until you identify the cause.

You need a phone line to have Broadband as it is delievered to your house via your phone line. To have a phone line with anyone involves paying line rental to someone (it doesn' have to be Sky).
