The RETR command did not succeed

Since the switch to yahoo I cannot "Get Mail" to the Thunderbird client all I get is an error message "The RETR command did not succeed. Error retrieving a message. Mail server pop.tools.sky.com responded: problem retrieving message." how do I resolve this? My pop port is set to 995.

Sorry the port setting wasn't the issue - that would have been easy to fix! I'd suggest having a look at the section headed "How do I get my emails on an email client?" on Sky's help page here. Your password might be the cause of the 'problem retrieving message' and if so, following Sky's password advice may solve it. If that's no go, then in your position I'd consider trying deleting the account from Thunderbird and re-setting it up again to see if that fixes it. Failing that, I think you may have to give Sky a call (or Live Chat was offered to me on the Your Questions Answered page) to see if they can offer any more help.

It's not too good to see you're having an issue using Thunderbird , can you take a look here and see if this helps you get it set up.
