Moving home and thinking about Sky Talk

Hi,

I'm moving home at the end of next month.  Currently, I have Sky+ TV but I'm with BT for phone and broadband.  The current owner of the flat that we bought has Sky TV and a BT phone line.

My question is this- If I wanted to switch to Sky talk and broadband, should I cancel with BT first at my current address?  I know moving TV will be straight forward (or so I'm led to believe!).  If I change address with BT, that would mean a new 12 month contract but I think Sky will be cheaper.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!  Sorry if this is a repeat of a previous post.

Re: Moving home and thinking about Sky Talk

Absolutely. Just give Sky 2 weeks notice and they will set you up with whatever comms products you want in your new home. I'm not 100% sure but assume if you move with BT you will be re-contracted so would be best to cancel that when you leave rather than try to switch afterwards.

By the way, if there is any way you can make sure the people you have bought from cancel/ move their BT account as soon as they can it will mean you can get set up quicker - if they don't then there can be a 2 week lag as you would be taking over someone else's working line (would be the same whoever you were getting line rental from)

Hope that helps
