Can see host Sky channel but cannot get magic eyes to work?

Hi Folks,

Just moved into a new house and having some difficulty with magic eye installs.

TV is distributed trhough the house from the host location in the main living room.

When i select the mono feed in either my bedroom or study i can see the sky channel from the living room on channel 6.

Thats fine.

I have installed a magic eye to the RF feed on each tv and plugged in the aerial.

I havent made any changes at the host sky box location etc.

For some reason i cannot get the magic eyes to work, (i.e when on the mono feed channel showing the host sky, i cannot chnage the channel from that location).

Had it have been one location, i would have suggested possibly faulty magic eye however both locations, i must be missing something?

Neither of the magic eyes light up when i use sky remote.

Any help or guidance on how i can get the magic eyes working and changing channel would be much appreciated.

Best Regards

Simon.

Can see host Sky channel but cannot get magic eyes to work?

Good morning Big+Simon76,

Thanks for your query.

Firstly, so we can investigate this issue further, can you just confirm who made the amp? It's usually the case that the amp will not work unless directly made to work with the magic eye.

We look forward to your reply.

Can see host Sky channel but cannot get magic eyes to work?

Hi Big+Simon76,

Thanks for getting back to me.

Firstly as your TV link is a 3rd party product we will not be able to offer to much assistance as it's not a Sky product. Also, in regards to the Amp it doesn't look as though is compatible with the TV link, however I would double check with Labgear and find out whether it is or not. If it's not then you will need to look at getting a compatible amp or you could look at getting a 'By-Pass-Kit' if you don't wish to buy a new amp.

You will be able to find out more information about the By-Pass-Kit here http://goo.gl/DdcBV.

Hope this information helps.

Re: Can see host Sky channel but cannot get magic eyes to work?

Thank you for such a prompt response.

Is it possible that as opposed to purchasing the bypass kit or a new AMP, i will be able to source magic eyes that are compatoble with this AMP?

Obviously that should be addessed to LABGEAR direct.

Appreciate your assistance.

Best Regards

Hi Big+Simon76,

Thanks for replying.

You could definitely check out other TV links that may be compatible with this amp, however we wouldn't be able to assist with the TV link. I would suggest that you get in touch with Labgear firstly and just make sure the amp is able to support TV links.

Let us know how you get on.
