Re: Possible problem with skyQ box or with UHD movies

You have to remember people see flicker differently to others, I’m mean look at how many people use motion interpolation and think it looks normal

Hi,

It can be difficult to see in lighter pictures like F1; download the film IT in UHD (if you subscribe) and within 4 minutes where there are darker scenes it should be obvious. The films I saw yesterday were the first I have watched since the new firmware release, and that is the only change to my set up recently....before then absolutely no problems. It may be with all the different settings modern TVs have it is more obvious on some TVs than others but there is no doubt in my mind something Sky..ish 🙂 has changed to cause this.

Re: Possible problem with skyQ box or with UHD movies

I have asked Sky tech's to look at this thread when they come in tomorrow but it would help if people with this issue would post the following

The make and model of the tv involved

The firmware version the TV is running

Whether they have a v1 2 TB Q box with onboard power supply or a V2 with an external power supply.

I'm not doubting you and at least you've made Sky aware of the issue on here and over the phone.

Just not seeing the issue on my set so far.

Same here on my Samsung tv, I watched two programmes in UHD today and had no flicker what so ever.

@Dazzasky May I ask what programmes you have watched? I watched F1 which generally has a bright image and could not see any flicker yet darker sequences in UHD films are quite obvious (IT, Covenant, WW)...regards.
