sky hd+ box

Hi everyone , new on here :smileyhappy:

Needing a bit of advice , I bought a second hand sky hd+ box and have connected it to the dish via a 2 way lnb , so I have both cables into box , I have a basic sky subscription and so I have placed my sky card into the new ( 2ndhand) box , and everything works perfect except I can't get the sky+ to work ! Do I have to subscribe to this or is it a freebie ? when i look on the internet all it tells me is about buying a new box with hd and sky+ !!!

Also there was no manual with the box so im not 100% sure if it is the same workings ie:auto view & series link as the old boxes ? would really appreciate the advice

Million thanks guys :smileywink:

Re: sky hd+ box

Hi Suzanne,

First thing to do is to call Sky and 'pair' your Viewing Card with your new Sky box. If Sky+ forms part of your basic subscription, that should sort it out.

I doubt your new box has autoview - that went a long time ago, though you can make it remind you when a particular programme is about to be shown. Series link is still the same.

What make and model is your new box? There are manuals for the Sky+HD boxes online.

Re: sky hd+ box

Hi suzanne1,

Did your channels activate within the 4 hour period?  Is everything ok now?

Thanks,

Garry
