I'm going on holiday when the David Haye fight's on and wanted to find out if we can watch this on Sky Player as we have Broadband in our hotel. Unfortunately when I called the helpline to find out it said something along the lines of "press one to book the fight or press two to hear about repeat times," so I pressed one thinking I would get through to an advisor to whom I could ask the question but I instead got a message saying "thanks, you have now booked the fight." Arrrgggh!! It's not even my account and I don't have permission from the bill payer!
I rang up and spoke to somebody who said that if we don't watch it then we won't be billed but I'm not sure if this is correct as the Sky Box Office terms and conditions state that:
"You may cancel your purchase of that Event up to 30 minutes before the start time of that Event if the Event is a movie, or up to five hours before the start time of any other Event."
Does anybody know if I need to try and get the bill-payer to ring up and cancel or will just not watching it suffice?
Thanks ![]()

Hi kangood
Welcome to the forum ![]()
I can confirm that even though the event was booked over the telephone, you will only be charged if the event is in fact viewed.
I hope this helps.
