Sky Go - RAZRi & Nexus 4/7

[ Edited ]

We are currently experiencing some difficulties with Sky Go as detailed below:

This week’s upgrade to the Nexus 4/7 operating system has resulted in Sky Go generating an error message when customers try to view content, as our content security measures have yet to be tested on this new platform. We would like to reassure our customers that our team are working to develop, test and release an update that supports 4.2.2 on the Nexus 4/7 as soon as we can. You can find the latest updates on this issue in this thread.

The release of Android 4.1.2 on the Motorola RAZRi has caused the device to be reported incorrectly as a rooted. The latest updates on this issue can be found in this thread.

We would ask that you please keep comments to the threads linked above; any duplicate threads will be locked and or merged.

We are looking to have a fix in place for these issues as soon as possible, we thank you for your patience during this time.

All

I understand the update to support 4.2.2 is in test now and will be available shorty. Days rather than weeks. As soon as we have confirmation that is available for release we will let you all know.

Update on RAZRi:

As part of the Jellybean update for the RAZRi we believe Motorola have amended some of the OS files,  these changes have resulted in the Sky Go service incorrectly detecting any RAZRi (that has been updated to Jellybean) as being rooted when they may not be.  We have identified what we believe is the root cause of the issue and are working to develop a fix as quickly as possible. Unfortunately the development of a solution may take some time due to complexity of this issue.  Customers who upgrade to Jellybean will temporarily be unable to stream content from the application. We’re sorry for the inconvenience this has caused some of our customers and as soon we have a fix we’ll let everyone know.
