Sean P,
Thank you for the information, better late than never. Can you please inform your customers on the forum what extra handsets Sky Go will work on, as this sentence means nothing to us:--
By the end of July an additional update to Sky Go will support the Android operating system Ice Cream Sandwich on compatible devices, as well as new devices including the Samsung Galaxy Note and Galaxy Nexus.
I don't see any reason why Sky keeps doing this as yet again customers feel like they are banging their heads against the wall with the lack of information or do we have to wait until you inform the tech sites, other forum sites and press release until we are deemed worthy of being told, It must be the case as it's always been that way as after all we are only loyal paying customers who mean nothing to Sky.
I seem to recall a line in a statement from Sky's CEO:-
"We have to work Hard to gain our customers trust"
Awaiting a reply forthwith.

The ICS version of Sky Go for the Galaxy Nexus will be obsolete before it is released.
Can you pleas let us know when the Sky Go App will support Android V4.1 (Jelly Bean)?
Awaiting a reply forthwith.

That is ridiculous.
The main reason people buy Nexus devices is so they get the latest Android versions when they are released by Google.

The other reason people buy Nexus devices is to get the purest Android experience without the manufacturer customisations and carrier restrictions. Why Sky insist on prioritising development for customised handsets over the Galaxy Nexus and Nexus S puzzles me. Surely you would start with the bais OS, release when ready then move on to the Samsung, HTC, Motorola variations on Android?

Common sense seems to be something that Sky are oblivious to.

So what about support for the latest handsets such as the HTC One series and Samsung Galaxy S3???
You take so long to support ICS that by the time you release a new version of SkyGo Android 4.1 JellyBean will be rolling out?

Asides from the complete lack of new information contained in the "statement" above, has anyone else noticed how all the focus is on Samsung devices, ie. Galaxy Note and Galaxy Nexus?. There is a nothing about HTC or any of the "latest" (eg. S3 and One X) devices for that matter.
Surely this information should be broadcast loud and proud as a great achievement.
Maybe I'm being paranoid (and given Sky's track record that's no great surprise!) but I have a bad feeling about this.

Hi Hunnybun,
Welcome to the Sky Help Forum, can you clarify what you mean by this?
Sky Sports channels are currently available through Sky Go on all compatible devices provided you have Sky Sports as part of your TV Package or have this as part of a Sky Go Monthly Ticket.
Thanks,
