Hi All,
I'm wanting a second Sky email address {****@sky.com} to add to my sky account. I've looked on the Internet sites and the Tabs on the Sky site for email/tools etc, but I can't seem to find out if I'm allowed to have one or how to set one up. I think I was told when I set up/changed to Sky, that I could have upto 10 email addresses from Sky or did I get that bit wrong?
Can anybody advise,I'd be very grateful.
Cheers

Hi there: (Updated!) - Please go back & log into your Sky "E-mail & Tools" online account
https://skyid.sky.com/signin/email/ - It's very easy to add/create any new Sky or other non-Sky E-mail Account/s, within "E-mail & Tools" on to your existing Sky POP3/IMAP e-mail accounts. Once logged into your "E-mail & Tools" account, select "Mail Settings", then select "Accounts", and it's there you will be able to add any new e-mail account/s that you own in here.
Please "Sign in to My Sky" as a new User & don't use your regular/usual Sky User ID, Please "Sign in to My Sky" as a new User & don't use your regular/usual Sky User ID, http://www.sky.com/mysky and then click upon "Sign UP" to create your new Sky username & password. Once done, log out, & log back in as the original Sky User ID, & select "My Profile" & select "Manage additional Users" to add these to your existing Sky User ID, as "Secondary Sky User ID's". To do this you will go through some Sky security protocols. NB
All passwords are case sensitive
Once done, you can then log back into either your original Primary Sky User ID or, log in as the Secondary User ID. - Lastly, you'll be able to change your "Secondary Sky User ID" to a "Primary Sky User ID", as you are the bill payer!
Also log back into your "E-mail & Tools" online account & add it to your regular Sky account, or just even log in to "E-mail & Tools" using just that new "Sky User ID" you've just created, to read & answer all your e-mail.
Within either Mozilla Thunderbird, or Outlook 2010, or whatever you use, you can also add each of these e-mail accounts within these e-mail programs. These details are provided by each of your ISP's concerned, for all your existing Sky e-mail accounts, as well as those non-Sky e-mail accounts within Outlook 2010.
These additional e-mail account/s will only work correctly, provided that you've correctly input all those chosen e-mail account/s details from your provider/s concerned - for each of those e-mail account/s!
Should any of your e-mail fail/not download, then quite possibly that is due to you previously already downloaded these messages, & the Sky "E-mail & Tools" Webmail facilities usually prevents these messages from being re-downloaded again once these have already been received.
Although it's possible within "Mail Settings", for you to select both "Forwarding and POP/IMAP", and also IMAP, it's best to rather only select either one or the other but not both. If you select the POP3 option then select "Enable POP for all mail (even mail that's already been downloaded)" and then select Save Changes. Then only you'll be able to re-download all e-mail once again using either Thunderbird or Outlook 2010, or whatever you use, by either a POP3 or IMAP 4 protocol, but not both at the same time. - Then once these e-mail have been re-delivered to you, do go back into your Sky Webmail online account and then change those settings back to either "Enable POP for mail that arrives from now on" or "Enable IMAP" and select Save Changes.
Please note
Within Outlook 2010 you can only choose either POP3 or IMAP 4 but not both at the same time!
Also, do examine my Sky Forums posting of "Microsoft Office Outlook 2010 configurationion settings must be correct in order to send/receive e-mail", as this will help you setup your Outlook 2003/2007/2010 e-mail accounts
Thanks. Xen.

Thanks for your reply Zen, It seems your the person that everyone needs to sort problems. I forgot to say in my original post that I don't have a second email account/address and I need to create one from scratch for my wife to use. The info you give although useful assumes I have a email address to add to my account or one I already own.
Cheers

Hi: You can easily create any new Sky User ID (e-mail address/account) within "My Sky".
Only once you've successfully created your Secondary Sky User ID
Then please "Sign in to My Sky" as a Secondary User, & not using/with your Primary/regular/usual Sky User ID that you would normally use
http://www.sky.com/mysky and then click upon "Sign in" with your Secondary Sky User ID, using your "Secondary Sky User ID". (Only input just your secondary username & password) to login to "My Sky".
Once done, log out, & log back in as the original Sky User ID, & select "My Profile" & select "Manage additional Users" to add this Secondary User ID, along with your existing Primary Sky User ID.
As "Secondary Sky User ID" you will go through some Sky security protocols, to be enable it for singular usage with Sky online billing, & or together with your current Primary Sky User ID as well, as both Sky User ID's will works correctly for viewing your Sky online billing account as well as for e-mailing purposes. NB

Hi wimbletan, Have you gone into My Sky and created the additional user under my profile, manage additional users? It will ask for an alternate email address for password resets, etc. although it doesn't need to be a Sky one. Once you have the additional user set up then log out and get the new user (if it's not you) to log in to My Sky with the new user name and click onto email. It will then prompt them to agree to the terms and conditions and create the email account.

Hi: You can easily change your exsisting Sky e-mail address for an alternative Sky e-mail address, but you can't delete any Sky e-mail addresses once they're created at all. The best thing to do is to just down-grade your troubled Sky e-mail address to a Sky Guest User ID e-mail account & then create any new Sky User ID (Sky User ID - Sky e-mail address/account) within "My Sky", and then up-grade that new one to a Sky Primary Sky User ID!
Only once you've successfully created your Secondary Sky User ID
Then please "Sign in to My Sky" as a Secondary User, & not using/your Primary/regular/usual Sky User ID that you would normally use
http://www.sky.com/mysky and then click upon "Sign in" with your Secondary Sky User ID, using your "Secondary Sky User ID". (Only input just your secondary username & password) to login to "My Sky".

Hi daniel+wilhare, you can't change the primary login user name for your Sky account but you can create up to 10 email addresses if you would prefer something different.
Log in to My Sky with your primary username. Create an additional user under my profile then manage additional users. Once you create the new user you need to log out of My Sky. Log in with the new user name, or get the new user to if it's for someone else, click on Email and Tools then Email. It will ask you to agree to the terms and conditions and if this is done it will create the new email address and take you to the inbox.

Hi: Please "Sign in to My Sky" as a new User & don't use your regular/usual Sky User ID, - in other words, do firstly make sure that you are fully logged out of your regular Sky ID account before carrying out this info, otherwise you'll just be logged back in under the Sky User ID that was already logged in etc, so please do log out of that Sky User ID
(details of this that I provided are still on page 1 of this thread as the 2nd responder to the original question)!
Please "Sign in to My Sky" as a new User & don't use your regular/usual Sky User ID, http://www.sky.com/mysky (if you find that you're still logged in, please do log out before proceeding with this, and then click upon "Sign UP" to create your new Sky username & password.
If this still fails, then do the following
Log back into your original Sky User ID within "My Sky" and go to your additional Sky Users and start to delete those un-necessary additional Sky Users that are no longer needed as that could be your problem. Sky only allows each Sky customer to hold a max of of ten (10) Sky Users in total including the Primary Sky User!
Then once the above is correctly done, then, either sign-in / click upon Sky E-mail & Tools https://skyid.sky.com/signin/email/ as that new user that you've just created in My Sky!
Thanks. Xen.
