If I sign up to sky talk will my unlisted BT phone number remain unlisted? I want it to remain unlisted.

Thanks for your post.
When you order your talk they will ask if you wish to be ex-directory, so you should have no problem staying as you are at the moment.

I have had to stop my online sign up with sky because I could not find any way to tell them that my phone number must remain ex-directory and unlisted. For me this is critical. As I want to sign up online is there any way of indicating what I want?

Near the end of the sign up process there is the option to have your number as ex directory.

Have now made three attempts to sign up for sky unlimited broadband and phone – right up to the payment details page and this is where I terminated the application - .because I cannot find any place to indicate that my bt telephone number must remain ex-directory. Can you specify where the option to do this is?

I apologise for the delay in responding to your message that you posted on the 29th of April.
The option to choose whether your number stays ex-directory or added to the phone book would be after using the "availability checker" to see what Broadband and Sky Talk services are available to you after putting in your post code and house details in.
Once they have been added and your result comes up, there will be a verification notice that pops up which you need to click OK on if you accept. After this, on the left hand side (opposite the "what you have added in your basket" section) you should have 3 options that can choose regarding your telephone number status.
Please let me know if trying the order again you manage to find it.

Then I complete package selection and am taken to Order summary followed by
There is really no place that I can see to indicate ex-directory for phone number. I cant understand how I manage to miss the check box so consistently.

After trying to replicate this issue I can see that the choices for phone directory are:
Once you have completed the order summary section, you will be asked to create a SkyID/enter your details and phone directory choice in the "your details" section of the process.
If you have processed the order and need to check/change the directory preferences, we can do this after the line has been fully activated.

I am unable to see the choices for phone directory that you describe. Yhis is the exact route I have used to sign up. (Over eight times now.)

I am really unable to find any place to select ex-directory at ever attempt to sign up. Perhaps if you would provide me with the exact URL of the sign up page you see it may resolve this problem.

Can you confirm that you are going to the Sky Shop page and that you are not signed into sky.com before processing the order.
Once you make your selections and select to proceed with order, underneath the details section you will be presented with this section:

This is what happens when I try to sign up for Broadband and Talk using URL Sky Shop:

2. Then select More about Sky Broadband, Sky Talk & Sky Line Rental goes to URL\:
3. Then selecting either:
Check your broadband speed and availability or
Select More about Sky Broadband Unlimited defaults to http://www.sky.com/quickbuy/build
At www.sky.com steps 4, 5 and 6 of my previous posting are repeated.
Unfortunately Your phone directory listing is nowhere to be seen. I should appreciate a fix or workaround for this problem.

The sign up process is exactly the same as described above without an option to indicate ex-directory.
