Have just had a long conversation with a SKY representative and he told me to post this..
Seems he is as baffled as i am.
Recently switched to SKY and today tried to access a website which enables me to work.
Cannot get any access at all and i know the website is working as i can access it from my phone.
Have tried 3 computers to access it, have disabled all firewalls, anti virus etc and still no joy.
Cleaned out internet cache, done everything possible but still no access.
Run a ping test and it comes back Timed out.
IT people at www.theice.com seem to think that the router is blocking it.
Was lucky enough that SKY sent me 2 routers, have switched them over and still no joy...
HELP !!!!!!!!!!

Loads here so not a Sky issue. Do you have anyway of specifying DNS servers in case its a lookup issue? You could try accessing via IP address 63.247.112.10

I take it you have run traceroutes to see what is going on? We use Sky here and can connect to the site you are accessing so that kind of muddies the water. Have you tried booting to safe mode with networking to test without anything in the background?

You can't use that as a DNS as that is the IP for your router.
Try OpenDNS - 208.67.220.220 or 208.67.222.220.

Many thanks firstly on everyone trying to help.
My IP address does begin with a 9 and i have reboored the router numerous times.
Got the IT guy from work to access my computer remotely earlier. He spent over an hour on it and came to the conclusion that there is nothing wrong with my PC or settings.
He also did a ping test direct from the router to the ICE website.
The results were.
PING 63.247.112.4 (63.247.112.4): 56 data bytes
--- 63.247.112.4 ping statistics ---
4 packets transmitted, 0 packets received, 100% packet loss
Also same result came from the route trace so his conclusion was that sky broadband is the problem.
Have called the SKY guys back and awaiting their response.
At a total loss and confusion as to why this is happening.
My IT guy said that a few months ago he encountered a similar problem where BT users couldnt access the company trading platform, lasted a couple of days and then eventually BT fixed it.
So overall at a loss still !!!!
