What to do if I suspect my Sky equipment is causing RF interference?

Over the years we’ve investigated a number of cases where customers have suspected their Sky equipment of emitting radio frequency (RF) interference.

We are confident that our products meet the essential requirements of the Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Directive and the Radio and Telecoms Terminal Equipment (RTTE) Directive and is compliant with the following harmonised standards:  EN 55022/32, EN 301 489-1/17 and EN 50561-1 for Radiated and Conducted Emissions, and EN 300 328 and EN 301 893 for Effective use of the Radio Spectrum. We have carried out the required tests and our products also go through a strict continuing production quality control process.

We take any alleged issue concerning our products very seriously and we’re happy to investigate any reports of interference brought to our attention. To report an issue please:-

  • Email us on customerinvestigations@sky.uk and leave your name, address and telephone details.

In addition to this:-

  • If you’re a Coastguard please make your organisation aware of the interference issue and that you’ve contacted us to resolve it.
  • If you’re an RNLI volunteer please make Carl McGowan aware via Carl_McGowan@rnli.org.uk
