This display does not support HDCP

HDMI connected devices talk to each other using an HDCP compliance script. If either device fails the exchange, you will see the on-screen message "This display does not support HDCP".

Why not try these steps...

 

  • Reset the HDMI
    • Turn the power off and disconnect all connected devices for at least 60 seconds.
  • Try an alternative HDMI cable.
    • If you're using an extended cable, try using a 1.5m HDMI cable.
  • Connect the Sky box directly to the TV
    • Bypass sound systems, splitters and other devices.
  • Check other devices
    • Are Games Console, Blu-Ray, DVD players also affected?
  • Is the TV on the latest software?
    • For instructions on how to check and update the TV firmware version, consult the TV manual, visit the Support section of the manufacturer's website or call their support line.

 Sky Q customers will see "This screen does not support HDCP"  and should take a look at this help page.
