So you’ve decided to join Sky Mobile, the smart network. You can now keep unused data for up to three years, switch your plan every month and even Sync your Sky+ recordings with your phone.

With Sky Mobile, you’ll also have access to Sky WiFi, which provides you with free and unlimited Wi-Fi in thousands of popular places across the UK. Pretty nifty, huh?

You can use free Wi-Fi to browse the web, watch YouTube videos and download apps, meaning you don’t have to use your own data. And with Sky Mobile, this means you can Roll your data over for a time when you might really need it.

Just follow these simple steps:

  1. Make sure that Wi-Fi is enabled on your device.
  2. Download the Sky WiFi app on your smartphone from the App Store or Google Play Store.
  3. Use the app’s Hotspot Finder to locate the nearest Wi-Fi hotspots. It’ll also highlight venues where you can watch live Sky Sports.
  4. When you’re near a hotspot, find and select ‘_The Cloud’ from the available wireless networks.
  5. You’ll then be prompted to sign in with your email and password. You can create a new Sky WiFi account here. You can register up to 6 wireless-enabled devices on your account.
  6. Your device should then connect. If you go back to that same hotspot again, you should automatically connect without having to do anything.

And remember – any data that you don’t use is yours to keep. At the end of every month, it’ll automatically Roll over into your piggybank for you to use whenever you like.
