A 12 minute phone call to SKY customer service cost me some 5 pounds from a local landline.
I called expecting the call would be free, that being what I was told a SKY representative on internet CHAT.
How do I get a refund?

Welcome to our Community, I'm sorry to see that this has happened. Calls to Sky Call Centres from Sky Talk lines are free, from other landlines however these are charged at lo call rates which are 5.1p per min from a BT landline with a 12.5p connection charge.
Was it a Sky Talk line you were calling from?

As this is your first post let me start by welcoming you to our community.
All calls to Sky are free as long as you are a SkyTalk customer calling from your landline.
If you have charges for calls to Sky you will need to ring in agian so that we can check the bill and apply the appropriate credit.
The number for the Skytalk Team can be found here.

Hello, I'm on Sky Talk Evening & Weekend Calls.
I've just been told by a Sky Billing Customer Support person that as I am not on freetime (24hr free calls) I will be charged 6.1p/min for a call to Sky Customer Support on 0844 241 4141 daytime weekdays.
Is he right?

I apologise about the delay in getting a response to you regarding your post.
We do have a file that you can download here that gives you our up to date tariff guide. If you click on the link I have supplied you with you will be able to see all charges for yourself, and if at any point you want to check some other call charge, you will have the guide there to keep you right
Hope this helps,
