Things go downhill after 7pm and usually resume back to normal at 10:30 / 11:00 pm 

On top of the bad pings my speed is reduced by more than halve, cannot do any gaming or watch sky player, whats the point of Unlimited broadband when you cannot use it at peak times.

Yeah same here connection poor at peak times, after 7 its a disgusting half meg used to get better on dial up and that was free!!!!! i understand sky capping people but it seems like its everyone.  As previously stated if the case is you are a heavy user then sky should notify if they are going to make changes to your service, surely charges include a service charge.  If this is the case then all people on here should be exempt from paying for a service that is not being provided!!!!! Also if sky say that you are capped for the reason to fairly distribute usage this has to be completely false as there are only 258 users from my provider and its less than a mile away.  Seems to me it has to BT with the control here and sky are doing as they are told.  If true we should all move to BT. Everytime i phone and complain they tell me they are working on connection what a load of.......it would be fine if we all sat at home working on how to pay the bill to sky or capping it because we thought it was too much.

its only connect customers that experience traffic management at peak times. not everyday lite or unlimited. if you are having problems with pings. call and go through to CST mite get lucky and get tier 1 SVBN that used to be in CST or at least be in a call centre that has CST tools such as LAMA.

/\/\ The current high-ping / low throughput issue on Sky Unlimited cannot be solved by speaking to CST - it is a faulty uplink in the Sky network (apparently) that they are aware of as a known issue....  However, with the growing number of reported incidents, I am begining to wonder if there is something else going on??

Not sure about anyone else, but these problems apppeared on my line within a couple of weeks of adding Anytime+ to my account! Anyone else in the same situation here? Thoughts......

hi have sky given any idea about a time frame for a fix ? the advisor said he would post here as soon as there was any news but so far no feedback or information. spoke to a couple of friends today at work who also have sky unlimited who both live in and around chester and saltney and they are also having the same problem

St Asaph problem here. My issue starts at 4pm and ends at 11pm exactly. Been OK last month, but previous 2 months were a nightmare. Getting 72Kps. Spent hours on the phone with Sky over the past 3 months trying to find fault. Messed me about. Spent a fortune calling their 0844 number. Absolutely disgraceful. Definately being traffic managed. Nothing in their T & Cs about this apart from:

What they are doing is possibly illegal. No e mail or call to explain the situation. Just carry on phoning the 0844 number to try to rectify the problem.

same here, im in Saltney, Chester and everynight the pings go from 30 to 300+  this has been going on since mid Nov, I use my internet mainly for gaming, i run a BlackOps clan on PC, this has now forced me to step down and hand the Admin to someone else.

Ive been in touch with skys helpdesk all month, 5 times this week to be run through the same reset router, reset wireless bull everysingle time , every time I call I get asked the same questions from the beginning, and tonight i was told that there is nothing else they can do and that he didnt know anything about pings or what they even where !!!!!!! , As far as they are concerned they have done all they can.  This is disgracefull and has left me with no other option but to look at other providers, this after 10 years with sky and 6 with sky broadband, If I do decide to leave sky then I will also cancel my SKYHD sub, Line rental , skytalk and broadband.
