You can connect your Playstation 3 (PS3) to the internet through a wired or wireless connection to download games or play games online.
To connect to the internet using a wired connection, you’ll need an Ethernet cable like the yellow or black one that came with your Sky Broadband set-up kit.
2. In the home menu, select the Settings option followed by Network Settings.
3. Select Internet Connection Settings by pressing the X button on your PS3 controller.
A message will pop up on your screen advising :
"Adjust settings for connection to the internet. If making a wired connection you must have an Ethernet cable connected."
4. Select Yes. At this point you can either select the easy option or the custom option. Make sure you select the easy option.
5. Choose the Wired connection option.
6. A screen will pop up called proxy server. Select Do not use then press X and X again to save the settings.
7. You’ll then be asked to test the connection. Press X to start the test. Your PS3 will complete all necessary steps. Once complete your connection to the internet will be established.
If you experience problems getting online, check to see if you can get online using another device such as your computer. If you can’t get online, see Broadband connection issues section as the problem is likely to be with your internet connection. If you can view websites with your computer and the problem is only affecting your games console, you need to refer to the manufacturer's instructions.
2. Choose the option Internet Connection Settings.
3. A pop-up will appear saying Adjust settings for connection to the internet. Choose OK to continue

You can find these details on the Keep me handy card that came with your Sky router and on the side or bottom of your Sky router.
7. Enter the security code, which will be WPA-PSK. Unless you've changed the encryption settings this will be selected automatically.
8. Press the arrow on the key pad or move the analog stick to the right to then move on to entering your password, also known as your network key.
The Network Key is case sensitive. There are no numbers, so if you see any circles, they are letter 'O's, not zeros.
9. Once the network key has been successfully entered save your changes by pressing the Start button or select Done on the screen.
10. Click X to save the settings.
11. Before you start playing online you can check to make sure you've set up your connection successfully. Just select the Test Connection option.
