Thanks for your post. Can I just check with you about the box, was it a replacement box or an upgrade that was not covered by the warranty for the full 12 months? Let me know and I will check further for you.

I had problems like this and it turned out to be faulty ADSL filters. With my broadband system I'm not supposed to need them but my Sky boxes refuse to function correctly with regard to the phone connection without them.
Still a victim of bureaucracy!
