Republic of Ireland - TG4 HD, Rte Player and News Now

Hi Sky :smileytongue:

Just thought id ask around:

- Will tg4 hd be coming to sky anytime soon? it is already on UPC in ireland and will be launched on saorview once mux two is active

- Will RTE News Now be added to the sky platfrom in ireland since it is now availabe via saorview

- Will you be rte player and tg4 player to the on demand service?

- Finally will you be allowing channel 4 hd and/or other hd channels which are available to uk customers to become availabe to us irish customers on our epg? We have been waiting a long time...

Thank You in advance

David

Re: Republic of Ireland - TG4 HD, Rte Player and News Now

Where on the link is David's question answered? It would be great if you could be more transparent with your answer. At it is Irish subscribers don't even get the sky channels catch up and yet we pay the sky subscription. I do appreciate why BBC Player and ITV catch up is not available but why catch up on the sky channels is not available I don't understand. Can you please clarify why they are not available and when the Irish channels catchup players will be available. They are already available with UPC. Thank you

There is no info available on tg4 going on HD on that. That refers to on demand updated which I can understand as it been a newish product on the box but tg4 has been HD for quite a while now so can sky comment on why it's not been.offered or negotiated on sky while with UPC they are already ahead of the game in Ireland in terms of accessing the best of Irish in terms of HD and online content

As for channel 4 and other FTA HD channels they should be available on the epg for Irish customers otherwise with the influx of freest+HD boxes will cut into sky's market share

Is there any update on all the above issues may I ask?

Well said Warlikevac. I know of a lot of people leaving sky and getting Freesat boxes. Fed up with Sky fees and not being entitled to what is on offer in the UK. In fact on the 998 channel where they are advertising on demand and catchup nowhere does it say that catch up is not available in ROI.
