Having to keep turning router on / off at mains to get a connection

I recently received my Sky BB Unlimited router.

For it to connect wirelessly to my laptop i have to turn it on / off at the mains everytime. Once its connected its fine, until next time i turn my laptop on where i have to do this sequance again.

This is a pain in the b'side, surely i dont have to be doing this. It should be connecting automatically.

It connets fine with the Ethernet cable.

There isnt a problem with my laptop as it connets fine on other wireless networks outside of the home.

Any ideas before i phone Sky and send the router back?

Re: Having to keep turning router on / off at mains to get a connection

Ok should have looked at the Sticky's first!

I have changed the channel from auto to 01.

Turned my laptop off and restarted, it connected automatically without having to turn router on / off so hopefully that has fixed the problem
