Can i use a freeview tv with a sky+ HD box

I'm just about to get another Sky box for the kids' room and also need to buy a TV. Does it matter if the TV has freeview set up on it? Will Sky still work?

Yes, your Sky setup will still work, the two are completely different - Freeview comes through the aerial. If the new TV has Freeview built in, then connect the Sky box via the SCART socket. If the new TV is an older type with an analogue tuner, and a separate Freeview box, then you might have more options depending on the details of the Freeview box and the TV. rgds G7MZH

Yes, but only "sort of".

Freeview is the name of the (BBC-backed) digital TV system that uses hilltop transmitters to rooftop aerials. It is run separately from the "Sky" satellite-to-dish service. free-to-VIEW is a term for satellite channels that need a viewing card to watch, but not to collect a subscription. free-to-AIR channels are ones that can be received without needing a viewing card or subscription.
