Re: Blocked

Are you suggesting Sky should ignore the rule of law in this country?

Re: Blocked

All UK ISP's have to block these site by law so where are you moving on to exactly a new country?

Complaining that you can no longer access illegally shared copyrighted material is just downright childish.

Re: Blocked

It is a court ordered block on those sites it has nothing to do with the internet Watchdog Foundation.

Re: Blocked

Sky's response, sounds more like they are afraid of loosing a pound.

Our approach to protecting copyright

We have invested billions of pounds in high-quality entertainment for our customers because we know how much our customers value it. It’s therefore important that companies like ours do what they can, alongside the Government and the rest of the media and technology industries, to help protect their copyright. Such protection makes sure that consumers continue to benefit from TV programmes, movies and music both now and in the future. This means taking effective action against online piracy and copyright infringement.

Re: Blocked

Well done you have lowered the tone of the forum by resulting to insults because i dont agree with you.And Pm'ing me to insult me aswell bravo...

Consider your self reported for your childish behaviour,i agree with the blocking of sites which promote illegal file sharing of copyrighted material because i own an entertainment company and i am fed up with finding my copyrighted work which take alot of time to make and produce being shared by lowlifes who think they should get enerything for free by stealing.

I hope Sky ban you and you get a knock on the door from the relevent authorities.

Re: Blocked

As Mark39 and DaveNOS said, Sky and several other of the larger ISPs were required to block these sites by a court order. It wasn't something they (or BT, Talktalk or Virgin) chose to do voluntarily.
If you want completely unrestricted access to the internet, then you could change to one of the smaller ISPs who aren't currently covered by the order. Be prepared to pay considerably more for your connection though.
